Kasper Rorsted, who will be replacing the long-standing CEO of Adidas – Herbert Hainer, has also been appointed as a member of the Executive Board with effect from August 1, 2016.
Rorsted has served as the chief executive of German DAX company Henkel since 2008. He has held reputable positions at companies like Oracle, Compaq and Hewlett Packard.
Commenting on the appointment, Igor Landau, Chairman of the supervisory board of Adidas AG said, “Kasper Rorsted is the perfect candidate to succeed Herbert Hainer as CEO of Adidas AG. I am convinced that, together with the top management of the Adidas Group, he will continue the company's dynamic growth strategy and lead the group to new successes.”
