Global trade of women's blouses and shirts decline

The global trade of women's or girls' blouses and shirts (knitted and crocheted) has been declining since last few years. Total trade decreased 14.61 per cent from 2017 to 2019, according to data from TexPro. The global trade of women’s or girls’ blouses and shirts was $8,586.05 million in 2017, which was moved down to $7,331.35 million in 2019.
 
The total trade of women’s or girls’ blouses and shirts has reduced 12.65 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is anticipated to drop to $6,601.23 million in 2022 with a rate of 9.96 per cent from 2019, according to Fibre2Fashion's market analysis tool TexPro.
 
The global export of women’s or girls’ blouses and shirts was $3,739.79 million in 2017, which declined 13.96 per cent to $3,217.80 million in 2019. Total exports diminished 13.98 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to move down to $2,846.90 million in 2022 with a rate of 11.53 per cent from 2019.
 
The global import value of women’s or girls’ blouses and shirts was $4,846.26 million in 2017, which fell 15.12 per cent to $4,113.56 million in 2019. Total imports slashed 11.58 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to drop to $3,754.33 million in 2022 with a rate of 8.73 per cent from 2019.
 
Turkey ($436.18 million), Guatemala ($277.57 million), China ($218.28 million) and Germany ($176.71 million) are the key exporters of women’s or girls’ blouses and shirts across the globe in 2019, contributing 34.46 per cent of total export. It was followed by India ($141.80 million), Italy ($129.65 million) and Spain ($129.10 million).
 
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export value, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Germany (0.93 per cent).
 
Japan ($692.86 million), US ($644.06 million), Germany ($315.22 million) and UK ($212.86 million) were the key importers of women’s or girls’ blouses and shirts across the globe in 2019, together comprising 45.34 per cent of total import. These were followed by France ($190.10 million), Spain ($148.64 million) and Hong Kong ($119.25 million).
