Global trade of women's or girls' skirts to decline

The global trade of women's or girls' skirts and divided skirts (knitted and crocheted) has increased slightly over the previous year. Total trade increased 0.98 per cent from 2018 to 2019, according to data from TexPro. The global trade of women’s or girls’ skirts and divided skirts was $2,669.34 million in 2017, which dropped to $2,581.74 million in 2019. 
 
The total trade of women’s or girls’ skirts and divided skirts is anticipated to drop to $2,517.21 million in 2022 with a rate of 2.50 per cent from 2019, according to Fibre2Fashion's market analysis tool TexPro.
 
The global export of women’s or girls’ skirts and divided skirts was $1,599.50 million in 2017, which was declined 8.02 per cent to $1,471.22 million in 2019. Total exports diminished 0.57 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to move down to $1,342.74 million in 2022 with a rate of 8.73 per cent from 2019.
 
The global import value of women’s or girls’ skirts and divided skirts was $1,069.83 million in 2017, which grew 3.80 per cent to $1,110.52 million in 2019. Total imports rose 3.11 per cent in 2019 over the previous year and is expected to drop to $1,174.47 million in 2022 with a rate of 5.76 per cent from 2019.
 
China ($851.23 million), Turkey ($74.94 million) and Germany ($71.12 million) are the key exporters of women’s or girls’ skirts and divided skirts across the globe in 2019, contributing 67.79 per cent of total export. It was followed by Spain ($48.49 million), Italy ($43.83 million) and Hong Kong ($37.53 million).
 
From 2015 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of export value, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Germany (27.93 per cent).
 
US ($213.71 million), Japan ($135.30 million), Germany ($98.13 million) and UK ($63.56 million) were the key importers of women’s or girls’ skirts and divided skirts across the globe in 2019, together comprising 45.99 per cent of total import. These were followed by Spain ($60.65 million), France ($50.56 million) and Netherlands ($45.70 million).
