HYX formal uniform supplier for Tokyo Olympics: IOC

China’s Hengyuanxiang Group (HYX) will supply the official formal uniforms to the International Olympics Committee (IOC) members and administration for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 and Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, IOC recently announced in Beijing following a meeting between IOC president Thomas Bach and company president Liu Ruiqi.
Founded in 1927 in Shanghai, the Hengyuanxiang Group is one of the most famous textile companies in China. The group has a history of supporting sport in China, including as a sponsor of the Olympic Games Beijing 2008 and as a partner of the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) from 2009 to 2012 and a sponsor of the COC from 2013 to 2016.
“We are pleased to be working with HYX and look forward to wearing our formal uniforms with pride in Tokyo next year and in Beijing in 2022. I would like to thank in particular IOC Vice-President Zaiqing Yu for his work in bringing this agreement to life,” Bach said in a statement. (DS)
