JIAM 2016 Osaka kicks off successfully

Japan International Apparel Industry Show (JIAM) 2016 Osaka organized by Japan Sewing Machinery Manufactures Association (JASMA), opened doors on 6 April, 2016 at Intex Osaka and will be held for the following three days until 9, April.

To celebrate a successful opening of the 11th edition, a reception was held on 5 April. More than 200 members of the exhibitors, public agencies, press and other related organizations gathered at the event.

The reception begun with the greetings by Kazuyuki Nakamura, Chairman of Jasma followed by the guest members; Mr. Souichiro Seki Director-General of Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Ichiro Matsui Governor of Osaka Prefecture and Mr. Hirofumi Yoshimura Mayor of Osaka.

15 members consisted of guests, representatives of Jasma, representatives from overseas friendly partners; China Sewing Machinery Association (CSMA, China), Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA, U.S.A) representatives from the special supporting members Osaka International Business Promotion Center, All Nippon Special Sewing Machine Manufacturers' Association, Japan Apparel Fashion Industry Council also celebrated and with the toast of Mr. Shogo Kondo, Chairman Jiam 2016 Executive Committee the reception begun.

The reception ended with the speech of Mr. Hachiro Makabe Vice Chairman Japan Sewing Machinery Manufacturers Association. (HO)
