Woolmark launches new tickets & labels

Australian Wool Innovation has launched new state-of-the-art Woolmark tickets and labels.

A first of their kind, the updated design provides Woolmark licensees added security and traceability along with efficient logistics via an on-line ordering system.

Launched in Amritsar and Ludhiana respectively the new tickets and labels have a contemporary look to complement today's fashionable wool garments they are to be seen on.

The new look Woolmark, Woolmark Blend and Wool Blend tickets feature the latest security technology and represent a first in the garment ticket merchandising industry. Each label involves a unique batch numbering system that provides referencing to licensees.

SML Group is the preferred global supplier of new Woolmark tickets and labels. The group's vast international network of offices and production sites will ensure licensees enjoy all the benefits of a market leading on-line ordering system, increased QA, and customer care program for the full range of ticket and label products.

A new environmentally friendly paper stock is part of the new tickets package. On the security front, the new tickets feature the 'Nautilus Hidden Image', which can be easily identified by a simple authentication process. Only genuine Woolmark products will be permitted to use the new paper and security technology. This will be controlled through a strict supply and delivery channel. It is designed to eliminate counterfeit garments from the global market place.

The labels are produced in a Panel finish and cover multiple language options and all care parameters for wool including Hand Wash, Dry Clean, Machine Wash and Machine Wash and Tumble Dry.

Amir Sheikh, Country Manager – AWI India said “Merino wool garments are premium products and the Woolmark quality assurance program through tickets and labels boost consumer confidence”. He added that “new tickets and labels complement our promotion of Merino wool through various programs like 'Campaign for Wool' and 'Merino. No Finer FeelingTM' in the global market”.

From apparel retail industry Mr. Sandee Jain, Executive Director of Monte Carlo Fashion said “We use pure Merino wool in our garments and new Woolmark tickets will further increase our consumers trust”. Mr. Ajay Ramachandran, Brand Head of Van Heusen said “We sell premium products and use the best quality Merino wool in our garments certified by Woolmark”.

Mr. Sheikh further added that “The woollen garments with new tickets and labels will be available in India this year autumn winter season”.
