Japanese fast-fashion retailer – Uniqlo, which had opened its first store in the Taipei, capital of Taiwan in October 2010, now plans to expand its network by opening more outlets in the city.
Plans include setting up a 3,960 sq metres flagship store, planned to be opened in September and three other stores of around 1,300 sq metres each in various locations, by October.
The three stores will be shop-in-shops within existing department stores across the capital.
The first store had reported revenues of NT $300 million in the very first month of operations, which raised optimism of the potential of the Taiwanese fast fashion market in the retailer.
