Alphi Apparel inks US licensing deal with Viyella

Alphi Apparel Group (Alphi) is pleased to announce that it has signed a licensing agreement for the United States with Viyella, one of UK's oldest apparel brands. Commencing in January 2012, Alphi will be distributing Viyella's Fall 2012 Collection in both Canada and the United States.

"This agreement was a natural evolution for Alphi. We understand what the Viyella customer is looking for in terms of design and price points," states Alan Knopp, President and Co-founder of Alphi Apparel Group. "By extending our successful brand strategy south of the border where we already have an established customer base, we are confident that we will be able to elevate Viyella's brand awareness and, in turn, drive increased sales for our current and future customers."

Since 1991, Alphi has been offering the successful and well-established Viyella brand exclusively in Canada and this agreement will allow for an integration of the brand across North America. Alphi recognizes the efforts of Miller Harris and Spinnerstown Shuttle, current US licensee for Viyella, in building the brand and is dedicated to matching and exceeding the level of service that has been in-place since 1995.

Their extensive knowledge of the Viyella brand, their professional reputation and dedication to delivering a high level of customer service, were the primary factors in selecting them as our North American licensee. In addition, Alphi is already well established in the US market with a number of complimentary lines and we are confident that the addition of Viyella to their roster will benefit all parties."

Founded in 1991 by Alan Knopp and Phillip Gotlieb, Montreal based Alphi Apparel Group is a well-respected leader in high-end design and product development, with distribution centers in the US (Champlain, NY ) and Canada (Montreal, QC).
