Japanese BODY BUTTER launches into US market

BODY BUTTER,” a Japanese men's clothing brand, which has been achieving remarkable sales at Rakuten Shopping Mall, one of the country's biggest online shopping site, is now taking aim at the United States. One of the brand's products, “The Standard Bag” held the position of “The Best Sold Bag” in the Rakuten Mall for 100 weeks, and its sales are still climbing.

Beyond bags, BODY BUTTER handles a variety of other products from denim pants, belts and jackets. The mission of BODY BUTTER is to create a buying experience that “Always offers a joy to choose and a pleasure to wear.” Holding up this mission, the brand considers the current fashion scene boring with its mass productions and low cost quality. “Unconsciously, people forget to find the joy in the process of choosing and wearing their clothes. Wearing clothes doesn't mean just blending in – it can mean standing out and the establishment of a personal individuality and the pursuit of personal satisfaction.” says Seiji Suzuki, the leader/designer of the brand.

All the brand's denim pants are made by experienced craftsman in Japan, and the original and unique design holds attentions from the customers. Because of its unique and attractive designs, more than a few have become repeat customers. Suzuki says, “When I design clothes, I always think how I can amuse the customers. I try to put something unique in every design, such as designing denim pants like slacks, or making a jacket using high-grade wool used for a blouse, etc. All these unique ideas come from my thought that the fashion is a symbol to represent freedom for those who wear it. I studied and respect the traditional fashion designs; however, I believe that it is necessary to break the rules to create something new because we are living in new times.”

BODY BUTTER offers the free oversea shipping. In addition, all the sales this September coming from foreign countries will be donated to the Red Cross Society of Japan. Suzuki continues “For all those people who suffered from the recent disasters in Japan, we want to play our part to help. We wish to help Japan revive as soon as possible, returning joy to some many that lost so much. We believe many foreigners will support this “Revive Japan” movement, and we would be happy to serve as a bridge between foreign supporters and the victims in Japan.”
