Perfect Events will be hosting their launch event at London's famous Olympia Exhibition Centre this October (27th – 29th). Covering the whole garments and textiles industry, London Garments Expo will provide the perfect stepping stone into the world of fashion.

There will be a fresh and diverse mix of people getting involved with some of the biggest global retailers and manufacturers at this exclusive 3 day event. Fashion House L'atelier de Sumarie believes "...this will be a great opportunity to exhibit at LGE because we would like to offer our vision, professionalism and craftsmanship by educating students the art of couture". Marie Su, Director of Sumarie and L'atelier de Sumarie.

As well as creating business and networking opportunities for all our exhibitors & buyers, we are also focusing heavily on ethical/eco fashion and education & skills for young designers. We have an exciting line-up of well-known educational establishments such as Fashion Capital and The Society of Dyers & Colourists who are “Delighted to be involved with the London Garments Expo as their desire to improve education and knowledge within the fashion sector mirrors our own.” Andrew Filarowski, Acting Chief Executive at The Society of Dyers & Colourists.

Jennifer Holloway from Fashion Capital will be starting off the catwalk and promoting the work and skills of her students on the apprenticeship program at The Workshop. Jennifer says “We pride ourselves on being a 'non-profit' organization, for young hopefuls wanting to step up into the fashion industry.

Our company also offers apprenticeships which are taught by professionals, supporting our students and allowing them to work within their company”. Jennifer Holloway, Director at Fashion Capital.

As a small, young, team, the importance of learning, training and gaining skills is something the staff at the London Garments Expo is very passionate about, and as such is proud to also accommodate De Montfort University Contour Design graduates at our catwalk show.

“The DMU Contour Design Department has always worked closely with the industry and with the contemporary marketplace, teaming up with retailers such as M&S, Boux Avenue and Abercrombie & Fitch… this is a new venture for us, one we are tackling with great enthusiasm, and we are delighted to take part in the show”. Gillian Proctor, Head of Contour Design Department at De Montfort University.

The London Garments Expo, organized by Perfect Events, is a truly unique international trade show. We aim to not only introduce international exhibitors to a UK market, but also national exhibitors to our international clientele. We also hope to enhance and promote our belief in ethical trade, as well as build bridges between business & education. We have been shown kind support from many retailers and establishments, and hope that our first annual garments expo will be a huge success.
