Argentina is likely to soon become an important destination for Peruvian garment exports, according to Alvaro Galvez, Director for Exports, Promperu, Peru's export and tourism promotion agency.
He said Peruvian garment exporters, attending Expo Peru Argentina being held in Argentine capital of Buenos Aires, are hopeful of closing around US$ 5-6 million worth of deals during the next twelve months.
Mr. Galvez said nearly 300 business meetings were scheduled at the Expo between the Peruvian firms and the 148 Argentine buyers.
The delegation of Peruvian exporters consists of 19 garment companies, besides some service providers.
