SustainU, a leading producer of high quality apparel using fabrics made from 100% recycled materials manufactured in the US, announces its position as the official apparel provider of Bridge Day shirts for the third straight year.

West Virginia's largest festival is held the third Saturday in October every year in Fayetteville, WV. This year's 32nd annual Bridge Day festival will take place on October 15, 2011.

Bridge Day is the largest extreme sports event and largest gathering of BASE jumpers in the world. More than 450 BASE jumpers from 10+ countries and 40+ US states will leap from the 876' tall New River Gorge bridge. Hundreds of rappellers will descend on fixed ropes, and up to 200,000 spectators are expected to attend this year's Bridge Day.

SustainU has been providing Bridge Day shirts for the past three years. "This is an amazing event," said Chris Yura, CEO of SustainU. "We love providing eco-friendly shirts for an event close to home that brings so much great attention to our state."

Bridge Day was recently praised for their efforts in taking the first step of using recycled shirts, collecting recycled material, and educating event-goers about the importance of environmental stewardship by Debra Gard, Executive Director of the WV Association of Fairs & Festivals.

"Being honored for doing something different, like using recycled shirts is amazing," said Bridge Day Chair, Cindy Dragan. "SustainU is a great company, creating jobs in the US in an environmentally responsible way, and we love keeping the business for Bridge Day in our home state."

Bridge Day is a great event for experiencing the outdoors and exploring West Virginia. Mountains, gorges, rivers and woods define the state and one of the best ways to enjoy West Virginia is by white water rafting on Bridge Day or watching BASE jumpers from one of nature's wonders 876 feet above the New River Gorge.

SustainU is an American clothing company focused on changing the way clothes are made to improve the environment, reinvigorate America's manufacturing sector, and educate the world about how clothing can positively impact people's lives. By creating 100% recycled apparel that's made in the USA, we want people to change the way they think about their clothing, and how they live their lives.

Bridge Day is West Virginia's largest festival. Set in the New River Gorge, one of the world's oldest places, hundreds of adventure athletes participate in thousands of BASE jumps, one of the world's most cutting edge sports. Above the famous white water rafting on the New River, jumpers, rappellers, and thousands and thousands of onlookers gather for the state's biggest party of the year.
