Intertek to unveil Compliance Practitioners Initiative in Ahmedabad

The Compliance Practitioners Initiative (CPI) which aims to qualify people through recognized training and assessment of knowledge and competence will launch this program in Ahmedabad in December 2011.

CPI is accredited by City and Guilds (C & G), a British Royal Charter organization providing assessment and certification services for schools and colleges, business and industry, trade associations and government agencies in more than 100 countries. City and Guilds has over 120 years of experience in identifying training needs, developing assessment materials, carrying out assessments and training.

The CPI program was first launched on May 6, 2010 in UK, on May 26, 2010 in China, June 7, 2010 in Hong Kong and September 2010 in India. The launch for the rest of the world has been scheduled in March 2012.

This program will help those working for garment manufacturers in the quality domain, those who intend to seek a career in the quality domain, and for anyone who is interested in taking up a career in the apparel industry.

The 3 day intensive classroom training includes:
- Traits of a Quality Engineer
- Basics of textiles
- Basics of fabric manufacturing, processing and garment manufacturing
- Understanding AQL and Fabric inspection procedures
- Defect classification
- In-depth inspection methodology
- Inspection procedure
- Root cause analysis and preventive measures
- Report Writing and its importance

Training Methods:
- Verbal
- Visual – Videos
- Group and individual exercise
- Practical assignments
- Reinforcement through flip charts
- Interactive sessions etc.
