The US$ 2.5 billion international sportswear label, PUMA holds no exception to the popular trend that as a market segment grows to a reputable size, global brands wish to expand their reach in that market.

Validating this notion, the firm is setting up its first branch in Israel to cash-in from the country's budding sportswear market segment.

PUMA already operates five concept stores in the country through Grundman & Co., which had been representing the firm in Israel for over last two decades. Besides these outlets, Grundman also markets PUMA products at 350 sale points throughout Israel. The new representative of PUMA too would work in the country in association with Grundman.

PUMA is one of the top three sportswear brands present in the Israeli market, along with Nike and Adidas. Nike operates in the country through a direct representative of its holding firm, while its outlets in the country are run by three local franchisers. Similarly, Adidas also operates through a direct representative led by a German CEO.
