Garment exports continued to be mainstay of overall exports from the country in the period January to October 2011.

Looking at the figures of the first ten months, apparel exports will easily cross the $13.7 billion mark, up 20.5 percent over 2010 and will also cross the targeted figures.

Positive growth has been recorded to all the overseas markets including to its biggest market – the US to which garment exports touched $5.2 billion, up 15.2 percent in the period.

Vietnam also posted very impressive growth to other regions like European Union and Japan.
