Y-3 to launch online store in China
11
Nov '11
Starting with the Autumn/Winter 2011-12 season, Y-3 will be available with its first online store in China from mid November 2011.

With the launch of the new online store, china-based customers can explore and purchase the fully ranged Y-3 collection including men's and women's apparel, footwear, accessories.

Y-3store.cn hits the road for Autumn/Winter 2011-12 with a collection inspired by the nature of escape—on horseback, on foot, and into the hills. Fittingly, the Y-3 runway show presented clothing designed for a journey, combining classic materials and silhouettes with futuristic and protective details like waterproof zippers, neoprene insets, holographic toggles, and ergonomic quilting.

The initiation is timed with the arrival of the Autumn/Winter collection in-store. 'Since 2004, Y-3 has expanded its retail business across Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the US. With Y-3 being available online we commit to offering impeccable quality at the highest service to our global clientele.'
Hermann Deininger, CMO adidas Sport Style Division.

The new destination will offer a unique online shopping experience especially created for Chinese customers including: special size conversion, prompt delivery to over 400 cities, free return, dedicated customer care in Chinese and purchases processed in the local Yuan currency.

In order to guarantee this localized online experience Y-3store.cn is Powered by YOOX Group, which is already Y-3's global Internet retail partner for Europe, USA and Japan since 2011. With a local structure including a logistics centre and office in Shanghai, YOOX Group provides the new online store with a comprehensive solution to Internet retailing specifically developed for China that includes interface design, technological platform, logistics, customer care, web marketing and a thorough know-how of e-tailing.

adidas and Yohji Yamamoto pioneered the fusion of sport and style in 2001 with their initial collaboration of exclusive footwear styles designed by adidas for Yohji Yamamoto's signature line. Subsequently Y-3 launched in October 2002 with the Spring/Summer 2003 season in Paris. The online store opening will mark ten years of this successful partnership.

adidas and Yohji Yamamoto celebrate the opening by inviting customers to special previews, promotions and free shipping. This will be available exlusively until mid November 2011.
