China's clothing exports reached US $115.24 billion in the first nine months of this year, representing an increase of 23 percent year on year and the growth rate was 4.3 percent higher from the same time last year.
But during the period, the pace in hike in export rate of China's clothing exports to the United States dropped 14 percent from that in the same period last year.
Clothing exports to the EU grew by about 28 percent year on year in the period January to September and the growth rate was 7.6 percent higher from the same time last year and accounted for around 29 percent of overall apparel shipments.
Garment exports to the US rose about 14 percent year on year, but the growth rate fell 14 percent from a year ago and accounted for about 19 percent of clothing exports.
Apparel shipments to Japan increased 24 percent year on year and the rate grew by a massive 23.5 percent from the same period in 2010, for a share of about 14 percent.
Industry insiders point out that, in view of the expectation that demand growth in international market will slow down in the future, annual growth rate of China's textile and garment industry this year is expected to be essentially flat with last year.
