Injinji, innovator of the patented Performance Toesock, continues to expand its fast-growing brand with the appointment of two new key executives, announcing Russell Nadel as senior vice president of operations and general manager, and George Schott as vice president of sales and marketing.

Individually and collectively bringing extensive industry experience to Injinji, Nadel and Schott will assume integral roles in maintaining and building upon the San Diego, CA-based company's current unprecedented growth.

As senior vice president of operations and general manager, Nadel will be responsible for overseeing all corporate operations, supply chain, and product development.

With more than 20 years of experience in the apparel and accessories industry, Nadel has held successive positions at Quiksilver Inc., most recently as vice president of direct to retail licensing, and previously as vice president of global apparel production/sourcing at DC Shoes, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quiksilver. Prior to Quiksilver/DC Shoes, he held roles in product development, sourcing and production operations at After Hours Formal Wear/David's Bridal, Guess Kids, and The Men's Wearhouse.

"I am stoked to become the newest member of the growing Injinji family and am excited by the opportunity to work with such a dedicated organization of individuals who live the Injinji experience each and every day," said Nadel.

Nadel will report directly to Injinji Chief Executive Officer Jason Battenfield.

"I am thrilled that an executive of Russell's caliber has joined the Injinji team," said Battenfield. "He brings a broad base of skills and will be a tremendous asset at an exciting time when company growth is unparalleled. With his stellar combination of industry experience, business acumen and athletic affinity to Injinji's core consumer, I am confident he will help take Injinji to the next level."

Reporting to Nadel, Schott, as vice president of sales and marketing, will help lead continued company expansion by growing Injinji sales, expanding distribution within the U.S. and international marketplaces and managing the sales rep program.

A sales and marketing industry veteran, Schott was one of the original principals at Native Eyewear. Prior to launching the company, he accumulated vast experience in the advertising agency business, handling blue chip accounts that spanned various industries, including automotive (Mercedes-Benz), retail (Foot Locker), beverage (Miller Genuine Draft) and packaged goods (Sudafed).

Battenfield, Nadel and Schott will be attending The Running Event in Austin, TX, this week, December 7-10. Find them at the Expo in the Injinji Booth# 431.

Injinji is the innovator of the patented five-toe-sleeve Performance Toesock for sport, outdoor and casual use. Injinji (In-gin-ji), which means to reach one's peak performance, is dedicated to helping athletes attain their personal best by offering a seamless, anti-friction interface that allows the foot to perform naturally from the heel to the five toes.
