Attending a trade programme in the Netherlands has helped Aria Clothing, an apparel firm based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, to bag orders for supplying its tunics to Amsterdam.
Participation in Invest Northern Ireland's Going Dutch programme has helped the firm to bag orders in Netherlands and the company would now sell womenswear to independent boutiques in Amsterdam and in other Dutch cities.
According to Aria Clothing's Business Development Manager Jenny Mullan, the Going Dutch programme has transpired as an extremely advantageous for their business.
The initiative also helped the firm to explore other opportunities in Europe. The company has appointed its agents in Sweden and Belgium and expects to sell its tunics to these markets by early next year.
She informed that the firm's apparels are now displayed at 80 independent boutiques in the Netherlands, and around 25 percent of the firm's overall turnover comes from the Dutch market.
Aria Clothing has 20 employees who support it with designing, make-up and marketing operations for its well-known Aria and Arianna fashion labels.
