Makalot Industrial Co., Taiwan's leading apparel maker, has posted a pre-tax profit of NT$ 1.28 billion (US$ 42.67 million) during the first 11 months of current year, registering a year-on-year rise of 9.15 percent.
During January-November period, the company clocked a turnover of NT$ 14.2 billion (US$ 473.33 million), a growth of 5.5 percent year-on-year. In 2010, Makalot's revenues exceeded NT$ 14 billion.
In November 2011, Makalot earned revenues of NT$ 1 billion (US$ 33.33 million), which is a decline of 54 percent compared to October, but a 30 percent growth compared to November 2010.
Founded in 1990, Makalot specializes in apparel manufacturing, primarily for the American and European markets. Its clients include nine out of the top ten ready-to-wear garment retailers in the United States, including Wal-Mart, Gap and Target.
