A Pea in the Pod Debuts the Spring 2012 Collection. A Pea in the Pod's Spring 2012 Collection is a study in contrast, with confident, bold brights juxtaposing soft, romantic details for an assortment that highlights the beauty of the pregnant silhouette.

The season begins strong with glamorous '70s- inspired styling and bright colors. Color blocking, flare legs, caftan silhouettes, silk blouses, and bold stripes are featured trends of the season. A color clash of fuchsia, vibrant coral, teal, and royal purple supports this latest collection.

As Spring pushes forward, the mood softens with a palette of blush pink, seafoam, and chambray paired with soft neutrals. Feminine ruffles, sheer stripes, and loose knit textures are important emerging trends. Florals and embroideries lend a romantic touch to the season.

The colored skinny jean is the statement of the season with cuffed crops and soft flare legs following suit. Side ruching continues to be a key element in tees and dresses as a flattering accent to the pregnant belly.

"Pregnancy is a time to show your style, and this collection allows the mom-to-be to represent the fashion trends seen on the runway in a way that compliments her beautiful new shape," said Chris Daniel, President of Destination Maternity Corporation, the parent company of A Pea in the Pod.

A Pea in the Pod offers exceptional contemporary fashion for the mom-to-be who wants the very best when it comes to style. Beautiful attention to detail, perfect fit and luxurious fabrications are hallmarks of the brand's private label collections and exclusive designer labels.

A favorite among Hollywood's expectant celebrities, A Pea in the Pod has dressed Heidi Klum, Jessica Simpson, Naomi Watts, Jessica Alba, Salma Hayek, Christina Applegate, Nicole Richie, Amy Adams, and more. A Pea in the Pod can be found nationwide in A Pea in the Pod and Destination Maternity stores.
