Ed Gribbin, President of Alvanon Inc, the world's leading authority on fashion sizing and fit, is set to present at Latin America's most influential tradeshow Colombiatex de las Américas 2012 being held at the Plaza Mayor in Medellín, Colombia on January 24th, 25th and 26th 2012.

Typically attended by some 16,000 fashion brand, retail and related suppliers from across the global supply chain Ed Gribbin, will present at the tradeshow's acclaimed 'Knowledge Pavilion' on Thursday 26th January between 10.00 and 11.00am.

His presentation entitled: 'Economics of fashion fit and sizing - six simple steps to grow sales, cut costs and build competitive advantage' will advise fashion retailers, brands and manufacturers on how they can reduce their product development costs and timelines while increasing customer satisfaction and brand loyalty. He will demonstrate how a clear and robust 'fit' strategy will promote business growth and significantly improve profitability.

Ed Gribbin's unparalleled knowledge of fashion sizing and fit is based on a 30 year career in the international apparel industry. He joined Alvanon Inc. in 2006 where as head of its global strategic consultancy division he played an outstanding role in developing international fit strategies for many of the world's largest brands and retailers in the fashion, lingerie, sportswear, swimwear, corporate clothing and mail order sectors. He also managed the development of the world's largest 3D body shape database that contains over 300,000 consumer scans.

He was appointed president of Alvanon Inc., in January 2011 and is currently driving a global shape initiative that will enable brands to export clothes that 'fit' dominant consumer shapes within specific countries.

Colombiatex de las Américas 2012 and its Knowledge Pavilion is organised by Inexmoda, Latin America's only dedicated fashion and textile suppliers' trade institute. Founded over 20 years ago it is regarded as the hub of the fashion supply chain in Colombia and throughout Latin America. It offers expert advice on such issues as fashion research, training and strategic supply chain management.

Founded in 2001, the Alvanon Group of companies is the global leader in providing full service, integrated fit solutions for the apparel industry.
