Apparel Importer Seminar on Feb 16 in San Francisco

The United States Association of Importers of Textiles and Apparel (USA-ITA) will host a seminar on Thursday, February 16th, at Levi Strauss & Company in San Francisco, California. Officially titled 'The 2012 Outlook (And Beyond!) for Apparel Importers,” the seminar will include discussions on trade policy, customs enforcement, the cotton market, sustainability, and more, for textile and apparel importers and service providers.
The seminar will feature three Obama Administration officials as speakers: Richard DiNucci, Deputy Assistant Commissioner at U.S. Customs and Border Protection; Gail Strickler, Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Textiles at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative; and Julie Engelbertson, Supervisory Import Specialist at the Port of San Francisco.
Additional confirmed speakers include executives from Levi Strauss & Company, the Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Los Angeles, Cotton Incorporated, the Cotton Board, SGS, and Alston & Bird LLP, as well as USA-ITA counsel David Spooner of Squire Sanders & Dempsey in Washington, D.C., and John Pellegrini of McGuireWoods in New York.
“This is a critical opportunity for our West Coast members and contacts to hear from the policymakers who directly affect the industry,” says Julia K. Hughes, President of USA-ITA.
The event will be held at the headquarters of Levi Strauss & Company, 1155 Battery Street, San Francisco, California.
