Garment exports from Indonesian Bali grow significantly

The exports of textiles and apparels from Indonesian province of Bali have grown significantly in 2011 to US$ 125.54 million, showing a rise of 14.10 percent compared to exports worth US$ 110.03 million in 2010, according to I Ketut Teneng, Head of Public Relations Bureau of Bali provincial government.
While the major exports were of clothing items in various designs, the province exported 7.37 million metres of fabrics worth US$ 12.24 million during the year, registering a year-on-year rise of 39.45 percent.
In 2010, Bali exported 6.60 million metres of fabrics worth US$ 8.78 million.
Mr. Teneng said the textile and apparel item exports are a major foreign exchange earner for Bali.
