Cydelic fall/winter 2012 collection
Mar '12
Following the success of the last three season's artistic runway collections CYDELIC by Choryin, designer Chor-Yin Choi has created a new Ready to Wear collection under CYDELIC titled Shadow People that is dedicated to the masses. The goal in mind with this season's RTW collection is to have anybody and everybody attend, as the new line is street chic and caters to the everyday person.

Inspired by the innovative clothing worn on the streets of Europe and Japan, Choi wanted to show a collection that accommodated everyone. “While I love what I do, art couture is not for everyone. The new collection is for everyone; it is unisex and is an extension of my personal wardrobe.”

The Fall/Winter 2012 CYDELIC collection is audacious in all black, and challenges the status quo when it comes to how the public normally views their fall winter wardrobe. Heavily focused on sustainable jerseys, the garments are not only ecofriendly, but pocket friendly as well.

By keeping the collection black and dark grey,” Choi notes, “it allows me to explore the loneliness in human life and how people pass by one another on the street every day without noticing each other. CYDELIC RTW relates more to a humans mind and feelings with simple lines and silhouettes.”

This season the CYDELIC collection will be showcased alongside some amazing artists including Toronto's visual stunner; artist Jessica Gorlicky, Dr. Draw extreme violinist, and the crew from NewMindSpace, global party planners. In addition to the amazing visuals this team has prepared, the show will be live streamed online so fashion fanatics from all over the globe can feel like they are participating in the show. As a recap, the new line will be featured on Breakfast Television Monday March the 12th.

Iconic street wear brand Dr. Marten's is sponsoring the event and topping off the look of the collection by providing all the footwear for the models. Hair and makeup will be provided by Spellbound Hair Design + DK Hair Design.

CYDELIC will show in an undisclosed location in Toronto, this Saturday March 10th at 4pm.
