Innovalley Inc, a company founded two years ago by Spanish computer engineer and technical architect Xavier Verdaguer, has developed a smart sweatshirt 'BCN2'.

The new innovation incorporates a textile display, which synchronizes with the user's cell phone to show tweets and all other kind of dynamic content.

Another innovation of the Palo Alto (USA) based company is bags made from solar textiles.

Verdaguer will present the sweatshirt and other new innovations at the “App Fest” event to be organized by The App Date and Movistar on April 19-20, 2012 at Spanish capital Madrid.

According to Verdaguer, although new colours and fabrics evolve every season, there has been very little change in clothing during the last few decades. As an example, he cites that the way of wearing shirts has not changed much in recent decades.

The sweatshirt developed by Innovalley is truly innovative as it incorporates a textile display. Its main features are the use of earphones, textile buttons on sleeve to control ipod/iphone, and luminescent inks and flexible led technologies, he said.

The company said the price of new products would not be much higher than the clothes that do not use technological innovations.

Innovalley Inc. is a Silicon Valley-based company that drives innovation in the fashion industry by co-developing revolutionary products with large apparel brands.
