Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc, confirmed plans to open a new Nordstrom Rack in Upland, Calif. The approximately 35,000-square-foot store is scheduled to open during spring 2013 at Colonies Crossroads.

Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom, Inc., carrying on-trend merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com at 50 to 60 percent off original Nordstrom prices. Nordstrom Rack also offers a wide selection of apparel, accessories and shoes from many of the brands carried in Nordstrom stores. These items are purchased specially for Nordstrom Rack, with most at savings of 30 to 70 percent off.

Colonies Crossroads is a large multi-phased power center conveniently located off I-210, just six miles from Nordstrom Montclair Plaza and eight miles from Nordstrom Rack Ontario Mills. The new Nordstrom Rack will join anchor tenants TJMaxx, and Toys "R" Us in this new phase. Other phases of Colonies Crossroads include the tenants Target, Kohl's, Dick's Sporting Goods, Home Depot, LA Fitness and Albertsons. The center is owned and managed by Colonies Partners and Pacific Development Group.

Nordstrom Rack first announced plans to open at Colonies Crossroads in 2009 as a way to more conveniently serve the Inland Empire communities. "We're grateful for the support our customers have shown us, and are thrilled to be moving forward with our new Upland Rack store opening next spring," said Geevy Thomas, president of Nordstrom Rack. "Colonies Crossroads is a terrific center with a strong mix of tenants, and we're eager to get our doors open so that we can better serve customers living between our Montclair Plaza full-line store and Ontario Mills Rack."

Nordstrom Inc. is one of the nation's leading fashion specialty retailers.
