Textile expert Katja Beibl as Managing Director of MÄRZ

In April 2012 experienced textile expert Katja Beibl will assume management of Sales, Product and Marketing at knitwear specialists MÄRZ München GmbH & Co. KG based in Munich/ Germany. She will form the new management team alongside Clemens Ode, who has been re-sponsible for the commercial area of the company since 2011.
Katja Beibl comes from Krefeld (North Rhine Westphalia). After passing her 'Abitur' higher education examinations, she completed her commercial training at local fashion company MACH3, before com-mencing a course in textile technology in 1991 at the University of Textile and Clothing Technology in Mönchengladbach. In 1993 she embarked on a trainee programme at Esprit de Corp. GmbH in Ratin-gen, where she subsequently became an Area Manager Sales DOB & Accessories for Bavaria and then Key Account Manager for the whole of southern Germany.
In 1999 Katja Beibl changed jobs and moved to Marc O'Polo International in Stephanskirchen (Bava-ria), where she spent her first two years as Head of Sales Ladieswear for Germany. In 2003 she be-came Sales Director, with full responsibility for sales management of women's and men's clothing in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain and France.
From March 2011 she was employed by Ralph Lauren GmbH Germany in Munich as Sales Director Ladieswear for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Eastern Europe with responsibility for all Women-swear & Accessories Collections (Luxury Brands, RL Blue Label, LAUREN), and for the Marketing and Brand Coordination departments.
MÄRZ München GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1920, and, 92 years later, in 2012, continues to be a by-word for consistent expertise in knitwear for men and women, excellent quality, and a long-standing tradition of knitted goods. This received nothing short of professional endorsement in 1953, when MÄRZ equipped the participants in the legendary Himalaya Expedition to Nanga Parbat, Tibet with special custom-made woollen jumpers. Today MÄRZ continues that tradition of high quality knitwear.
Since April 2010 the company has belonged to Mark Bezner, who is also Managing Partner of OLYMP Bezner GmbH & Co. KG in Bietigheim-Bissingen. MÄRZ now employs 118 people at its site in Munich and generated a turnover of 23.4 million euros in 2011. OLYMP Bezner GmbH & Co. KG and MÄRZ München GmbH & Co. KG together form the OLYMP-Bezner group of companies.
Katja Beibl will assume her new position as Sales Manager for Sales, Product and Marketing at MÄRZ München GmbH & Co. KG and report to owner Mark Bezner. She and joint Managing Director Clemens Ode will form the senior management team.
