California, US-based surfwear company, Katin USA has supplied clothing to the US water polo team that will participate in the 2012 London Olympics.

Katin USA, a small company that started making surf trunks in 1954, has today grown to offer a complete range of lifestyle clothing including button-down shirts, compression tops, T-shirts and khahi shorts.

More than 50 percent of Katin's T-shirts and swim trunks are manufactured in the US. The company sells its products online and through specialty surf shops and few retail chains and discount retailers like Pacific Sunwear and Nordstrom stores.

In 2011, when the US water polo team was preparing to compete in China, Jen Rottenberg, the marketing director of the national team was looking for some gear to wear walking around town. Everything that is worn in water was being sponsored by Speedo.

It was at this time that Katin's relationship with the national water polo team began. Katin provided both lifestyle and dry land workout gear for the team.

Katin USA has supplied outfits to 22 players on the US water polo team this year. However, only 14 of them will participate in the London Olympics, scheduled from July 27 to August 12, 2012.
