Mamas & Papas, the UK-based children's apparel and accessories retailer, will open 25 new outlets in Russia and another five stores in Lebanon during the next three years, as part of its global expansion plans.
Currently, the brand has over 60 outlets across Britain offering more than 3,500 products. The brand entered the US in August 2010 in collaboration with BabiesRUs.
The company plans to open its first Russian outlet by the end of May, 2012 and by the end of the current year, it intends to unveil a minimum of five stores in Russia and another 20 brand outlets across the globe.
In the UK, the firm aims to open a new Mamas & Papas store every ten weeks. The next outlet would come up in Swindon next month.
There is great demand for Mamas & Papas products in Russia and Lebanon and hence the company is opening its stores in these markets, Mamas & Papas said.
Established in 1981 by Luisa and David Scacchetti, Mamas & Papas continues to remain a family-owned business. In 2011, the company's profit increased to £135.2 million from around £130 million in 2010.
