Nike launches football uniform for Corinthians

Sport Club Corinthians, 2011 Brasilian champions and a Nike partner since 2003, has unveiled a new Home and Away kit that celebrates the heritage of this iconic club and its home city of São Paulo. Global football icon and former Corinthians player, Ronaldo, was attendance at the launch to celebrate the new kit and unveiling of creative art work capturing his playing days at the club.

“Goal of the Wall” features the “Phenomenon” scoring his first goal for Corinthians in 2009 and marks the first of 10 goals that will be artistically celebrated at the Corinthians training ground with the final goal featuring the new kit.

Simplicity, style and design innovation distinguish the new uniform. The home jersey is white with a black collar, while the away jersey is black with a white collar.

Both jerseys have a message "Corinthians Paulista" (Corinthians from Sao Paulo) on the back of the neck and, inside the badge, the initials CP reflect the first club badge. In line with Nike's commitment to superior athletic performance and lower environmental impact, the fabric of the new kit's shorts is made with 100% recycled polyester, while the fabric of the shirts is made with at least 96% recycled polyester. Each kit is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles.
