Lapco to distribute Norway-made clothing reflective tape

A Morgan City manufacturer and distributor of safety-focused apparel and gear is partnering with Sto-Nor Industri AP to offer the Norwegian company's reflective tape for clothing in the United States.
“This partnership will add the Loxy-Lite brand of reflective tape to our garment line, improving the function of our own apparel line as well as our product line, as we are able to offer the reflective tape to other manufacturers,” said Tiffany Giroir, inside sales representative for Lapco Safety LLC, the Louisiana-based company.
“Bringing this Sto-Nor brand to the US market is an equitable opportunity for all providers of safety, flame-resistant, and uniform apparel nationwide,” Giroir said.
Lapco was a logical choice to market and distribute Loxy-Lite reflective tape for clothing, according to its Norwegian partner.
“We're proud to have them join our family,” said Stein Torry Kongsberg, sales manager at Loxy, Sto-Nor Industri. “Lapco is a respected name in safety apparel in the United States, and we're certain they will do very well as representatives for our Loxy product line.”
For more than 40 years, Halden, Norway-based Sto-Nor has been a leading global provider of seam sealing solutions and reflective tape for safety clothing, gear and other products for many applications, including military and professional rescue operations.
Lapco Safety LLC is an operation of Lapco Manufacturing Inc., a leader in the manufacture and distribution of a wide variety of flame-resistant work gear and clothing as well as reflective tape for clothing and similar products for garment and gear manufacturers serving the drilling, safety, sportsmen and utility segments among others.
