Eco Swim By Aqua Green hosts second annual Delaware river cleanup. Instead of hitting the road to other areas to enjoy their beaches Aqua Green is making a difference by cleaning up their back yard.

On Saturday, May 26, employees from Aqua Green's headquarters in Easton, PA, cleaned the Delaware River in Phillipsburg, NJ, a five-minute walk from their North Green Street factory. Last year over 100 Aqua Green employees and their family members removed 2,563 pounds of trash from the Delaware River.

Aqua Green's parent company is a 4th generation family run corporation. The bathing suits are made from recycled materials such as polyester, nylon, and cotton as well as recycled plastic bottles, recycled fishing nets, not to mention biodegradable bra cups made from vegetable oil. Additionally, Aqua Green reduces its carbon footprint by manufacturing in the USA .

“Last year, for The Aqua Green Team It was an eye opener on how we all have to do our part for our environment to be sustainable for future generations. We can't wait to spend another Saturday doing our part to 'reduce our carbon footprint in the sand,'” said Jim Post, Eco Swim By Aqua Green president.

Aqua Green is spending their first official season cleaning up oceans and waterways in SC, WA, MN, FL, AR and PA with their partner and fellow Pennsylvania apparel company, United By Blue. With every sunrise Aqua Green tries harder to reduce its carbon footprint in the sand.
