Qatar-based United Fashion Company (UFC) has expanded its portfolio of men's and women's fashion brands with the inclusion of Alberta Ferretti and L.K.Bennett to its list of brands.

UFC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of United Development Company, which is constructing The Pearl-Qatar, a man-made island that will inhabit more than 41,000 residents when completed.

UFC's portfolio of apparel and accessories brands to date includes Stefano Ricci, Rene Caovilla, Santoni, Etro, Salvatore Ferragamo, Alberta Ferretti, Hiref, Harmont & Blaine, Georg Jensen, Calvin Klein Collection, Gianfranco Ferre, Missoni, Domenico Vacca, L.K.Bennett and Lancel.

“We recently opened L.K.Bennett, a very well established and fast growing brand from the UK. Prior to that, we opened Alberta Ferretti boutique,” Mr. Theo Swart, General Manager at UFC, told fibre2fashion.

Sharing the company's further expansion plans, he says, “We are soon opening a men's tailor made shirt store that specializes in tailor made shirts at an affordable price. The shop is called Grosvenor shirts from London.”

“Later this year, we will announce opening of another internationally renowned designer boutique. Then early next year, we plan to open Liu Jo, a contemporary ladies' casual wear brand from Europe that is rapidly expanding across the world,” he continues.

“Finally, we are entering Lebanon with the opening of the new MAF mall in Beirut where we will start with L.K.Bennett,” he adds.

UFC's vision is to establish itself as a retail company that caters to the needs of consumers in both the luxury and mid- to mid-upper consumer brackets.
