Miraaya Apparel – an ethnic women's wear brand which began operations just 18 months ago, plans to reach revenues of Rs 100 million in 2012-13 from Rs 45 million achieved in the previous fiscal year.
Miraaya is now available in 54 points-of-sale (PoS) across India, either through exclusive stores or shop-in-shop formats. It has targeted to be available in around 100 PoS by the end of this fiscal.
“Alongside offering Indo-western ethnic fusion wear, Miraaya also increased its product portfolio by adding bags, jewellery and recently footwear”, Mr Rajesh Jain, Director – Miraaya Apparel & Trading Pvt Ltd told fibre2fashion.
Although, at the onset it wanted to be present even in Tier I cities, Miraaya is currently available, mainly in Tier 2 & 3 category towns and cities of India, since its primary target consumers come from these regions.
Informing about their value proposition, Rajesh Jain says, “We offer fashion at a reasonable price and a horizontal kind of pricing rather than vertical. Since we have reasonably priced fashion products, they have been well accepted by everybody”.
