The online boutiques of Local Hem, the boutique shopping platform, excitedly introduced several new apparel lines this month. ach new designer collection boasts a unique story.

Testament Apparel, now carried by Duchess Boutique, is a line of separates that “stand out from the fray” yet can be easily integrated into a modern wardrobe. This line prides itself on its ability to travel well and wash beautifully, a testament to its quality. Their original fabrics were inspired by vintage French wallpaper patterns and designs that “flowed as well as flattered”; something that holds true to this day.

Love, Zooey, introduced by Encounter Boutique, is a new brand (launched in 2011) determined to see that women don’t have to trade style for comfort. Specializing in luxury knits with “just the right amount of casual”, their collection features stylish basics in soft fabrics and a mix of neutrals and brights.

Isda & Co., now offered by She Boutique, describes its collection as European-inspired, modern and sophisticated. It features versatile neutrals, luxurious textures, fine fabrics and yarns mixed with modern prints and smart colors.

Ella Moss, also carried by She Boutique, specializes in feminine pieces in comfortable, lightweight fabrics. Designer Pamella Protzel-Scott described the typical Ella Moss girl: "She's a modern bohemian. She travels the world and falls in love easily. She listens to feel-good music and drives with the windows down. She shops at flea markets and thinks a beach vacation is the best kind of vacation. She smiles easily and laughs a lot-often at herself."

Local Hem’s founder, Colleen King, noted that their online boutiques will be adding several additional new designers as well as expanding the existing collections of their boutiques as the season progresses.
