Adam Crozier to leave Debenhams

Adam Crozier has informed the board of Debenhams plc that he will step down from his role as non-executive director at the end of the financial year on 1 September 2012.  Mr. Crozier has served as a director since May 2006.

Following Mr. Crozier's departure, Dennis Millard will succeed him as chairman of the remuneration committee and Mark Rolfe will in turn succeed Mr. Millard as chairman of the audit committee.

Nigel Northridge, Chairman of Debenhams, said:

"The board would like to thank Adam for the significant contribution he has made to Debenhams over the past six years.  We wish him continued success in the future."

Debenhams is a leading department stores group with a total of 167 stores in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Denmark. It offers a wide range of products across womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, lingerie, accessories, health and beauty, homeware and gifts.
