'Me n Moms' to open 50 new retail stores

India-based ‘Me n Moms’, the company that caters to the needs of 0-3 year babies through B to B, B to C, stores and e-commerce routes, is planning to open 50 new retail outlets over the next three years.
 
“In the celebratory spirit of the joy of parenting, ‘Me n Moms’ has been offering baby care and mother care products for the past twenty years to quality-conscious Indian consumer,” Mr. Naresh Khatar, Founder and Managing Director, Me n Moms, told fibre2fashion.
 
Explaining the journey of Me n Moms, he says, “We launched our flagship retail chain in 1994, starting with the first outlet at Juhu in Mumbai, with a vision to set up a one stop destination for 0-3 year olds and the mother. Within a decade, Mee Mee, a leadership brand for a complete range for 0-3 year olds and maternity products was conceptualized.”
 
Informing about the brand’s expansion plans, he says, “We extensively leverage our high quality, affordable and wide product range to establish a strong foothold in the kidswear and maternity care retail space. We currently own 12 exclusive ‘Me n Moms’ retail outlets and are planning to add 50 more within the next three years at an investment of Rs. 300 million.”
 
“We are present in Tier I cities across the country and presently we are scouting opportunities in Tier II and III cities. In the future, we would venture into other geographies keeping in mind the similar consumer market scenario,” he adds.
 
Me n Moms currently has 12 exclusive stores – three each in Hyderabad, Pune and Mumbai and one each in Lucknow, Noida and Nasik. “Our target is to open at least 8 more stores over a period of six months across India,” reveals Mr. Khatar. 
 
“With changing trends, customer preferences and increase in disposable income, Indians are willing to spend more for their children. In order to meet rising demands, we have expanded our product portfolio and ushered in innovation to our products, he says.”
 
“We hope to deliver services and products par excellence that add to the joy of parenting,” avers Mr. Khatar.
 
Me n Moms is predominantly in the kidswear and accessories and maternity related retail space. Its target customers are mothers and their babies. Under the brand name Mee Mee, Me n Moms’ offers dedicated categories of kidswear and accessories for 0-3 years, in addition to a range of products for mothers during their pre-natal and post-natal phases.
