New Look on lookout for talent at Graduate Fashion Week

Probably the most exciting fashion week, its focus is on those emerging new talents and the energy and dynamism they bring along to the industry. Fresh blood and fresh ideas are what fashion's all about and this year it was as exciting as ever.

A look at what's ahead for the future, the week has been heralded by ex-winner and Burberry designer, Christopher Bailey as a competition producing 'exceptional design talent'.

With 1,000 students from 42 universities taking part for awards in various categories, the exhibition of work to the fashion public was diverse, innovative and exciting. The more prolific Gold Award went to Chloe Jones, of Bath Spa University, whose collection of sweeping, light chiffon skirts and chiffon parkas teamed with chunky layered hoodies, set the tone for a layering of textures and tone.

It's an invite too for established fashion leaders to integrate and take notice of some of the current trends to see how they interact with their own creations, most notably in the high street.
