Contest entrants can submit their original designs featuring one of six internationally well-known music artists: AC/DC, David Bowie, Madonna, KISS, the Sex Pistols and The Who. These music legends will personally select the six winning entries in the Artist’s Choice Award category, whereas an online voting process will choose the six winners in the People’s Choice Award category. A total of $30,000 cash prize will be available for the twelve winners. UNIQLO will select an additional twelve entries for the Runner’s Up category, and the company will produce UTs for all twenty-four designs and sell them at its stores throughout the world, as well as online, in Fall 2012. Details regarding the sale of the UTs will be announced in due course.
UNIQLO has conducted the UT Grand Prix T-Shirt Design Competition annually since 2005, with the purpose of encouraging creative and talented individuals globally. The competition is open to anyone regardless of age, gender or nationality. UNIQLO will begin to accept entries for the 2013 contest from August 3rd 2012. Music is the theme of the UT Grand Prix 2013 T-shirt design contest, with six very popular artists set to participate. Winners of the six Artist’s Choice Award will each receive $4,000, while the six winners of the People's Choice Award will receive $1,000 each. UNIQLO will select twelve designs for the Runner’s Up category.
UNIQLO
