Online boutique Local Hem launches new collection for Fall

The online boutiques site, Local Hem, announced this month a collaboration with their client boutique, Helena’s of Arlington and Belmont, MA which will give Local Hem the exclusive right to sell Helena's stock of the Prairie Underground ‘Prairie’ Hoodie Jacket, available in eleven different colors.

Prairie Underground is a brand best known for its casual, durable cotton jackets and dresses. They design, produce, and ship every item in their collection from Seattle, WA, and the majority of their fabrics are knitted right here in the United States.

In doing so, Prairie Underground helps to keep active a diminishing network of sewing contractors in Seattle. Furthermore, they have proudly incorporated sustainable textiles made of hemp and organic cotton in every collection since in 2005.

The eleven colors the Prairie Underground ‘Prairie’ Hoodie Jacket will be available in are: Faded Iris, Vinca, Midnight, Cruiseliner, Beet, Cream, Tunnel, Billiard, Bruise, Rustic and Felt. Local Hem CEO and founder, Colleen King, noted that the exclusive offering for their online boutiques from Prairie Underground was “especially exciting given our customers’ enthusiasm for this brand.

“We’ve always seen such a positive customer response to their products, especially the iconic ‘Prairie’ hoodies. They’re high quality pieces that are made to last season-after-season and they are cut to flatter every woman’s body, so the reaction is not surprising.”

Local Hem is an online boutique shopping platform allowing visitors from anywhere in the world to shop a selection of the best independent, local boutiques online. Visitors to the site can discover and shop boutiques by location, category, designer or specific trends
