Admiral Sportswear LLC has been named as the official kit supplier of the West Indies cricket team by the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

The company, which has previously served as a kit supplier for the WI team, has once again been appointed as official kit supplier till August 2013, and would dress the men as well as women players of the Windies A and Windies Under-19 teams.

Besides the playing kit, Admiral would also provide the practice kit for the players.

While the practice kit would mainly come in blue and whites, the new WI ODI and T20 playing kit would retain the traditional maroon look, but have golden and light blue designs accentuating it.

WI players have also significantly contributed to the design of the kit, which would be unveiled at the ICC World Twenty 20, scheduled to take place later this month.

WICB views its association with Admiral as an indication of the confidence that global brands are posing in the WI team, whereas Admiral looks ahead to help the WI team achieve new dimensions with the new team kit.

Looking forward to re-energize the traditional sports brand in soccer and cricket, Admiral Sportswear LLC purchased the brand rights for Admiral in 2011.

Admiral forayed in the cricket space as the official kit supplier to the South African, Canadian, England and West Indies cricket teams.
