Lingerie Francaise, a unique exhibition that celebrates the 100 magnificent years of French lingerie, is currently going on in London.

Earlier held in Paris, the six-day-long retrospective exhibition in London displays around 260 pieces of the most significant and iconic lingerie of all times, beginning since 1880s till today.

The show aims to educate the visitors about the changes in the astounding techniques, designs and innovation that have taken place in the past 100 years, while creating the legendary, luscious tiny ensembles.

The seductive exhibition showcases creations from various renowned French labels, such as Aubade, Barbara, Chantelle, Empreinte, Implicite, Lejaby, Lou, Lise Charmel, Passionata, Princesse Tam.Tam and Simone Pérèle.

The collections include stretch-fabric corsets, girdles, bustiers, slips, briefs, garter belts and other varieties of exquisite shapewear.

The show also features a life-like transforming-holographic striptease, depicting the evolution of the female silhouette.

The exhibition is supported by Defi-Mode De France, the Committee for the Development and Promotion of French Clothing, which promotes France’s apparel industry via training programs for producers and marketers of clothing and expert products worldwide,  in partnership with Promincor, the association for the promotion of the corsetry industry.
