Primark opened its first store in Austria on 27 September 2012 at Innsbruck SILLPARK. The rush of customers was enormous. The anticipation leading up to the Irish fashion retailer opening its new anchor store made headlines, opened up new horizons of possibility and brought positive change to Austria.

"SES is the trailblazer for retail concepts in Austria. Our most recent accomplishment is the opening of the hit fashion retailer Primark at the SILLPARK in Innsbruck," reported SES-CEO Mag. Marcus Wild with pride.

From May to September 2012, a number of new attractive shops opened in SILLPARK, including such names as "Red Level by Sturmayr" - the first Tyrolean salon of the star coiffeur Christian Sturmayr. Also new to Tyrol is the accessory and watch provider Famous Lifestyle and the international nail and cosmetic label Juliana Nails. A new Teleplanet Samsung Concept Store partnered with the Post expands the mobile phone and service provider selection in the center; this has been complemented since the beginning of September by Niedermeyer, the Austrian electronics specialist.

Another Tyrolean premiere was celebrated at the beginning of September with the opening of the Dutch lingerie specialist Hunkemöller. The already impressive selection of restaurants was expanded on the 19th of September with Shi Fu's wok restaurant and the always popular Bubble Tea Lounge.

The wave of new openings took place on 27 September 2012 and experienced its climax with the Austrian premiere of Primark in SILLPARK. It used to be that Austrians who wanted to experience the newest shopping trends had to travel to Munich or Milan. The storm of customers at the SILLPARK opening however showed this is changing. The opening of Primark at SILLPARK heralds the beginning of a new era of shopping tourism in Innsbruck.
