Woodland sets Rs 8bn sales target for FY'13

Apparel brand Woodland has set a sales target of Rs. 8 billion for the ongoing fiscal year 2012-13.
 
The company said against its last fiscal’s turnover of Rs. 7 billion, this fiscal it aims to tap a turnover of Rs. 8 billion.
 
Exporting around 20 percent of its goods to Europe, China, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, the company is positive about achieving this target, Woodland Managing Director Harkirat Singh said while speaking to media after unveiling a new range of Woodland products in Madhya Pradesh. 
 
In addition to producing around 3.5 million garment pieces annually, the company also produces winter jackets and other adventure sports apparels, Mr. Singh said.
 
As a part of its nation-wide expansion plan, the company proposed to launch 60 new outlets in different parts of the country during current fiscal, 25 of which have already been made operational. 
 
Woodland currently operates 305 outlets across India.
