Bucharest successfully holds garments & textiles expo

The annual event, ITP EXPO - International Exhibition of Garments, Textiles, Leather and Footwear - was held successfully on 20 – 23 September 2012 at Bucharest, Romania, and gathered international buyers and exhibitors from the light industry (manufacturers, importers, designers and fashion enthusiast public).

The fair’s main topics were:

  • Fabrics, materials, sewing utensils and supplies. Clothing, knitwear, underwear and hosiery.
  • Functional clothing.
  • Leathers and furs, home textile.
  • Production equipment and technology.
  • Designer collections.
  • Fashion accessories and needlework.
  • Fashion shows, competitions.
  • B2B Matchmaking event.
  • Young fashion designers' competition.

The fair represented an example of the efforts that the Romanian brands are making in order to develop themselves on the internal market, also aiming to improve the imports.

During the exhibition, both visitors and exhibitors took part in fashion shows, workshops sustained by famous designers, new product launches, conferences and seminars on topics of interest, such as:

"Aesthetic Awards Gala 2012" – Hairstyle contest, multibrand, where the best works and photographers of hairstyling were awarded.

Seminar on Fall - Winter 2012 trends in fashion and make-up. Guests: Alin Galatescu, Ioana Blaj, Alex Abagiu, Simona Semen,  Iris Serban, Oana Zidaru (Chief Editor Divahair), Isabel Buganu (Owner  IB Communication, International PR agency for romanian designers).

Seminar on bio trends within beauty industry. Guest: Laura Calin, Owner  VforVerde.ro,  the promoting platform of what is going on "green" in Romania.

Workshops and demonstrations, make-up free event supported by partner, Diva Hair - free diagnostic of the health hair, demonstrations of revolutionary extensions, international trends in make-up applied to the domestic market, seminar organized by Romanian fashion bloggers - Romanian designer collections as reflected in "street fashion".

Seminar on fashion trends in 2012 – 2013, sustained by Oana Zidaru, stylist, blogger and editor at Diva.

Seminar on make-up trends in 2012-2013, sustained by Suzana Visan, PRO TV make-up artist.

Seminar on fashion photography in Romania. Guests: Roxana Enache, Dana Andrei, Ali Barbulescu, Oana Mihoc.

Designers invited to display their collections at Cosmetics Beauty Hair 2012: Iris Serban, Simona Semen, Rhea Costa, Cristi Zamfira, Surorile Negulescu, Lucian Rusu, Stefan Musca, Ioana Ciolacu (London), Irina Voinea (London).
