Virtual gaming attire wins silver medal at iENA Nuremberg

'Feedback perceivable clothing', the new age revolutionary attire that enhances the virtual gaming experience of a player, has won the silver medal at the prestigious iENA- International Trade Fair 2012, reported Taiwan’s China Post.

Jointly produced by the team of Taiwan Textile Research Institute (TTRI) and Mr Philip Chung, the associate professor of TransWorld University (TWU), the technology-integrated apparel creates a hammering or thumping kind of sensation in the bodies of the wearers when they control a moving object that strikes into a hard surface in the game.

The special clothing is incorporated with micro-electro-mechanical systems that react whenever an object in the game hits a wall or crashes into the ground.

Held in Germany’s Nuremberg, iENA - International Trade Fair acts as the professional marketplace for ideas and inventions. More than 750 inventions from nearly 54 countries were presented at the event this year.
