Vietnam’s Tien Son Thanh Hoa Corporation has inaugurated the first phase of its garment plant in Yen Dinh district, Thanh Hoa province.
It took about 15 months for the completion of the construction of the first phase of the garment unit, which has been set up on an area of 3.1 hectares.
The new unit has capacity to produce three million units of apparels per annum and is expected to export clothing worth US$ 60 million per year.
The first phase of the project has resulted in creation of 500 new job opportunities and the second phase of the project is likely to be completed in 2015, and will create another 2,000 jobs, according to the company.
Tien Son Thanh Hoa Corporation has established around 18 years ago, and it currently has six garment units, all in the Thanh Hoa province.
