Following its successful launch in February 2012, the second edition of Asia Apparel Expo is open from February 19-21 2013 and taking place in Hall 11.1 and Hall 17 at Messe Berlin. This specialized garment industry expo is a professional sourcing marketplace for European companies to meet with Asian-based apparel manufacturers and suppliers from nine countries.

Over 220 carefully-selected and experienced Asian manufacturers direct from Hong Kong, China, Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Macau, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Vietnam are showing a wide selection of quality garments and demonstrating their competence and experience in both design and production capability.

Building on the strength of the global business relationships in the clothing industry that have been gained over the past thirty years, Asia Apparel Expo 2013 has expanded in size and number of exhibitors, particularly from Mainland China, in this edition. The provinces of Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian and Jiangsu are well-represented, along with companies based in other major apparel centres, namely Shanghai, the key commercial city in China and Qingdao in Shandong province.

According to the report “The Chinese Market for Clothing” from China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC), there are 146 major apparel clusters in China. Of these, 25% are located in Zhejiang and 21% in Jiangsu, with Guangdong, Fujian and Shandong other important centres. Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong and Guangdong accounted for 23.23%.

Berlin as a key fashion capital located at the centre of Europe and the Asian manufacturers which lead the world with their investment in factories, supply chain infrastructure and training of the labour force employed in their apparel and associated industries provides the ideal combination to expand garment industry trading between East and West.

Asia Apparel Expo 2013 is of interest to Brand Manufacturers, Trading Companies, Wholesalers, Multiple Retailers, Chain Stores, Department Agents, Designers, Private Label and Buying Offices and offers the opportunity to meet with suppliers from Asia in a convenient location in the heart of Europe.
