The Woolmark Company Spring / summer 2014 Wool Lab returns

The Woolmark Company returns again this year with the spring / Summer 2014 Wool Lab. This latest edition presents a seasonal guide to the most interesting trends, and introduces seven inspiring trends for spring / summer 2014.

The Wool Lab, both an inspirational tool and a sourcing guide, is created by The Woolmark Company from Australia, in collaboration with innovative and quality-oriented spinners and weavers from around the world. It is a collection of the most interesting commercially available wool products, in line with the leading fashion and textile trends.

Another feature appearing again is the research and education zone – a unique display area showcasing new garment and textile design applications. Organised in partnership with The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) – the leading centre of excellence in research and development in fashion and textile technologies – featured displays will include:

• Fabric touch tester

• Smart multi-adhesive-carrying roller lamination system for intimate apparel industry

• Nu-Torque cotton yarn production technology

• Novel design and evaluation technologies for the production of high-performance running and cycling wear

• Advanced functional clothing CAD simulation system

• Molding and lamination technology handbook for the lingerie industry

• SimFactory – a computerized coaching system for sewing line management
